SYNOPSIS

The natural world can be a very dangerous place, but some animals are lucky enough to enjoy a life with no fear as they have no predators. Each individual animal species has unique characteristics, but the one thing all living things have in common is the need for food. The food chain is the structure that determines the order in which creatures eat each other to survive. Being considered an apex predator means being at the top of the food chain. It means that an animal is not afraid of any higher life form. Although we may not encounter many of these species in our urban environment, they are still out there. Some of these creatures rule their domain mercilessly and are the top animals in their respective ecosystems. The lion, the king cobra and the great white shark are just some of the most famous apex predators. This series will bring us ‘face to face’ with these ruthless ‘Terminators’. We will experience, moment by moment, the lives of the world’s deadliest predators.
